OUR STORY
Alt Bike Customs was born out of frustration — with throwaway culture, planned obsolescence, and the growing wall of proprietary tech barriers slapped on everything from laptops to vacuum cleaners... and yes, even bikes.
People toss out perfectly good machines not because they have to, but because manufacturers either make them impossible to repair, or jack up the cost so high it’s easier to just buy new. That waste? It adds up. Environmentally. Financially. Culturally.
I used to feel powerless — watching it all pile up. Then I asked myself: “Are you actually doing anything to make it better?” That voice in my head hit back hard: “If you’re not trying to fix it, then you’re part of the problem.”
That’s when Alt Bike Customs came to life — to make bikes (and people) road-ready again. Comfortable. Safe. Ride-able. The mission is simple: get people out of cars and onto bikes. But that’s just one spoke in the wheel.
Through Alt Anything Network, we’re exploring everything from 3D scanning and printing to welding, wind, and solar energy — even organic food production. We’re chasing better solutions, building community resilience, and pushing back against a system built to break.
